A

Arrival with cars and parking spaces
You will find a public car park in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. This is located at the top of Spitalgasse, on the large square in front of the church (Predigerplatz, chargeable from 09.00-20.00 h, except Sundays). Alternatively, you can also use the Urania parking garage about 500 meters from the hotel (24-hour service, subject to a charge). Attention: If you arrive by car, please report your license plate so that we can mark this at the time of booking and for the urban access control.

Bar – Drinks, Cocktails & Snacks
Our PLATZHIRSCH bar serves specialties like a fragrant coffee, a cold locally brewed beer or a skillfully mixed cocktail, as well as small cold & warm snacks (such as focaccias, olives, smoked stag sausages, cheese appetizers, Sushi, etc.). Please note, that room service is not possible. The bar is open from Tuesday until Saturday until late, Sundays until 20pm.

Breakfast
If ordered the evening before (fill in form on door hanger), we are happy to serve you our Züri breakfast daily between 7 am and 10.30 am directly to your room.

Checkout
Please vacate your room until 12 noon. Should you require a late checkout, please contact the reception the evening before. For a checkout later then 2 pm one overnight is charged.

COVID 19 Coronavirus
We adhere strictly to the specifications of the BAG Federal Office of Public Health and implement the hygiene and protection concepts in the entire house without exception. This serves to protect you and our employees. Many thanks for your assistance!

Electricity - Adapters
Voltage in Switzerland is 220 V. Adapters and recharging devices for Apple and Android devices can be borrowed at the reception.

Our hotel email-address is reservation@hotelplatzhirsch.ch. Incoming emails for guests will be directly forwarded and on request also printed out.

Emergency - SOS
Please pay attention to the fire exit plan on the back side of your room door. In case of an emergency please follow the instructions of our staff or the local authorities. In acute emergencies outside our opening hours you can reach us calling the telephone number +41 44 250 70 80.

Excursions
In your room you find a brochure that shows a wide range of sightseeing and excursion offers in Zurich or whole day tours within Switzerland. Our reception ist happy to advise as well as to do the necessary reservations in your name.

For further information about the Zurich International Airport, arrivals and departures, please contact our reception.

Fitness clubs
Information about local fitness clubs is available at the front desk.

Fire protection and safety
Each room in the entire house is equipped with modern smoke detectors and connected to a modern 24/7 monitored fire alarm system. In addition, there are manual fire buttons in the public areas. Fire brigades triggered by unauthorized handling of the manual fire button will be charged to the person responible at CHF 2'500 per case.

Internet – high speed WiFi
Our high speed WiFi is free of charge at your disposal. The access code is available at the front desk as well as on page one of this guest information.

Ironing
Irons and ironing boards will be brought to your room upon request.

Laundry
Laundry bags are in your closet. Please inform the reception if you have anything for laundry, so that it can be picked up. The laundry must be issued till 9 am, delivery within 2 business days. For an additional charge, you have the option of an express service and the laundry will be delivered the same day.

Lost property
Lost and found items are deposited at the reception.

Parking
You find a public outdoor parking just 100 meters away from the hotel, right on „Predigerplatz“. This is the square on the upper end of our street „Spitalgasse“. Indoor parking can also be found in the immediate surrounding. The closest one is „Urania“, just on the other side of the river Limmat (across Rudolf Brun Brücke).

Payment methods – cash and credit cards
For cash payments we accept Swiss Francs and Euros at the hotels rate exchange. For payments by credit card MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners, EC-Direct, Maestro and V-Pay are welcome.

Pillows and blankets
In case you need extra pillows or blankets you can order them for free of charge at our reception.

Pets and animals
There are no pets allowed in our Hotel due to hygienic reasons.

Photocopying
We offer a Xerox service at the front desk (CHF --.60 per page black/white)

Print of documents
Documents sent as email to the reception can be printed out. Please understand that we can ot connect USB memory sticks to our IT system for security reasons.

Reception service hours
We are at your disposal daily from 07.00 am until midnight, Sundays until 11 pm

Room key
Your key card is programmed by magnetic coding for the duration of your stay. Please do not store this card near any devices with electromagnetic emissions, especially mobile phones, TV, etc. If you experience problems with your key card (damage, loss, etc.) please contact our reception immediately, If this happens outside our opening hours, the 24-hour reception in the neighboring hotel "HIRSCHEN" is available for emergencies (Niederdorfstrasse 13, phone +41 43 268 33 33, www.hirschen-zuerich.ch).

Safety deposit box
All COMFORT and SUPERIOR rooms are fitted with a safety deposit box. Liability for cash is up to CHF 1‘000.

Smoking
In the PLATZHIRSCH Bar you will find a cozy fumoir. Please note that all rooms are NON SMOKING ROOMS and smoking, except in the fumoir, is strictly prohibited throughout the building for fire safety reasons. All rooms are equipped with smoke detectors and offenses are tracked and bailed out.

Sewing Kit
For small sewing works a sewing kit can be lend at the reception.

Taxi
Please contact our staff for a taxi. For transports to the Zürich Airport we can offer a special flate rae price of CHF 55.-- with our taxi partner Taxi 444 AG.

Technical maintenance
Please inform the front desk if any technical problem occurs in your room. Our technical team will help you as soon as possible.

Toiletry
In all rooms of the category SUPERIOR you find a choice of toiletry in the bathroom for free of charge. Dental care kit and a shaving kit can also be bought at the reception.

Train schedules
Please contact our reception. We will assist you to find the most convenient connection to your destination. The SBB-App (Swiss Railway Systems) offers the best overview.

TV - Radio - Alarm Clock
All our rooms are fitted with the latest generation of LED TV devices. You can enjoy a wide range of satellite channels. Please note, that there is also an alarm clock function in your TV.

Telephones - in room
In the age of "mobile, flat fees and VOIP-calling" our rooms do not have land lines phones anymore. For your additional well-being we can gladly install a telephone set in your room on request.

For security purposes we keep the right to refuse entry to the room area to anyone who is not a registered guest of our hotel.

Zürich Card including ticket for public transports (ZVV)
The Zurich Card can be obtained at the reception, inluding tickets for public transports (ZVV). With the Zürich Card, city explorers can enjoy Zurich in all its diversity.
